Senior Club Notes – 6th January 2020

Dinner Dance:

Our annual Dinner Dance takes place in the Longford Arms Hotel on Saturday night 18th of January. Tickets are available from the local pubs Begleys and The Olde Forge, also from Committee Members James McGoldrick 087 9585128, Cormac O’Donnell 086 3334004 and Brendan Bracken 086 3650922. Tickets are priced at 35 each. Dinner served at 8pm sharp. Music on the night by The Whitewater Band. Admission on the night is strictly by ticket only, so please book your tickets early to avoid disappointment.

Congratulations:

Congratulations to our Club Captain Sean McCormack on his marriage to Helena Mullooly. Wishing you both many years of happiness together.

Lotto:

Our weekly lotto draw took place in The Olde Forge on Sunday night. There were no jackpot winners. The numbers drawn were 10,12,18 and 32 . The 20 winners were Gerry Rowley Knckloughlin, Gary Fenlon Clontumpher,Siobhan Corcoran Cartrongolan Drumlish,Michael Lynch Clonrollagh and Erin&Faye Conefrey 3 St.Mels View.

The sellers prize went to Brendan Bracken . Next weeks draw takes place in Begleys and the jackpot will be €9,600. Thank you for your continued support for our weekly lotto.

Team of the Championship:

Congratulations to the 7 players from our club who have been selected on the team of the Championship. The players are Padraig McCormack, Cian Farrelly, Michael Quinn, Simon Kiernan, Sean McCormack, Daniel Mimnagh and Ronan McGoldrick. Two of these players have been nominated for Senior Player Of The Year Padraig McCormack and Daniel Mimnagh. To vote for either of these players Text ICONIC followed by name of player to 57199. Lines close on Friday 10th of January at 4pm. All these players will be presented with their awards at the Longford GAA All Stars Presentation Dinner in the Longford Arms Hotel on Saturday night next 11th of January.

Not forgetting 2018 Junior Player of the year Emmet Toher who will be presented with his award also on the night.
