Senior Club Notes 6th February 2017

Senior Scòr 2017 takes place in Ardagh Community Center on Saturday night the 18th February. Anyone interested in taking part in any of the events please contact Marie McCormack on  0863516501.

Well done to the Longford senior team who were back boned by a lot of our players on their fine win over Offaly on Sunday last.

Last Tuesday night the newly formed Killoe Men’s group elected their committee. We would like to welcome their new committee, chairperson Frank Kiernan, Secretary Sean Murray and Treasurer PJ Quinn. The next meeting is Friday 10th of February from 10am to 1pm in Emmet Og Clubhouse. All men welcome.

On behalf of Emmet Og GAA we would like to thank our health speakers/specialists Victor Connell, Dr. Gail NcNeil and Niamh Devaney for contributing to a very successful registration night last Wednesday night in Ennybegs community center for our couch to 5 K event. We would like to thank all the volunteers and Ennybegs community centre also. Our group joined parkrun.ie on Saturday morning with everyone running or walking the 5km. On Wednesday next, for people registered, wishing to be weighed, weighing will take place in the Mall Complex strictly between 6.15pm to 6.45 pm. All participants must meet at 6.45 pm at the Mall Complex to be divided into either a walking or jogging group. Personal trainer Brendan Doyle will take the joggers and this will be divided in beginners/intermediate and advanced.

Our lotto draw took place in Begleys bar on Sunday night and the numbers drawn were 3, 5, 8 and 36. There was no jackpot winner. €20 winners were Danny Keogh, Penny Murphy, C/O Milos, Ita Carroll, Olivia Brady, Boher and Michael Donohoe, C/O Doyles with Jim McGoldrick taking the sellers prize. Thanks again to all who continue to support our lotto.
