Division 5 League Final V Longford Slashers
Well done to our Division 5 team who captured the league title after defeating Longford Slashers in the final on Friday night last. Goals in either half by David Mimnagh ensured victory for Killoe in what was a closely fought encounter right until the end. Full time score: Killoe 2-17 Longford Slashers 2-10. Congratulations to the team and management on a great victory.
2021 Senior Championship Semi Final V Mullinaghta St. Columbas
Our Seniors championship run unfortunately came to an end on Sunday last against Mullinalaghta St. Columbas. Both sides exchanged scores in the opening minutes as the rain came down heavy. St. Columbas then rallied to lead by 3 at the break. Killoe looked better in the 3rd quarter and had narrowed the gap to just one point at the second water break. St. Columbas then pounced on a spilled ball to score a vital goal with 23 minutes played. They then followed up with another goal 2 minutes later to seal the game. Full time score: Killoe 0-7, St. Columbas 2-7. Commiseration to the team and management on a hard fought game and championship series. Best of luck to St. Columbas in the final.
