Division 1 V Clonguish

Our Seniors started their league campaign away to Clonguish in Allen Park on Friday evening last. Killoe started brightly but would rue the fact they conceded 3 needless goals in the first half which left us fighting an uphill battle with the scores 3-2 to 0-8 points at half time. Killoe fought well to reduce the deficit back to just a solitary point with minutes remaining but Clonguish showed great resolve and responded with some well taken points to see out the win. Full time score Clonguish 3-6, Killoe 0-14

Division 3 V Clonguish

Our Junior team were also away to Clonguish in the opening round of division 3. A number of scoreable wides would prove costly as Clonguish ran out 14 points to 8 winners.

Social & Presentation Night

It was great to see so many members & supporters at our club social night which was our first social gathering as a club since Covid-19 restrictions were lifted. The 2020 Senior Championship, 2021 Division 3 & Division 5 medals were presented on the night to the players by special guest, current Tyrone joint manager Feargal Logan. Presentation of our club awards was made for both 2020 & 2021 to the following people:

  • 2020 Senior Player of the Year: Mark Hughes
  • 2021 Senior Player of the Year: Michael Quinn
  • 2020 Junior Player of the Year: Shane McManus
  • 2021 Junior Player of the Year: Paddy Thompson.
  • 2020 Club Person of the Year: Cormac O’Donnell
  • 2021 Club Person of the Year: Gerry Hagan
  • Hall of Fame Award: John Doherty

Special presentations were also made on the night to Donal McGuire, Colm O’Donnell, Brendan McCormack & Berney Brady in recognition of their service to the club over many years. Thank you to everyone who attended as well as to Andrew Reynolds and staff for their hospitality.
