Scór na nÓg – All-Ireland Champions!!!
Congratulations to Ryan Keogh, Gerard Keogh, Tommy Tully & Conor Doherty on the fantastic achievement of winning the final of the All Ireland Scór na nÓg Quiz in Killarney on Saturday. All-Ireland titles are seldom come by in this part of the world so the lads and their mentor Aron Fitzpatrick can be very proud of this achievement.
Division 1 vs Colmcille
Our Senior team recorded a 6 point win over Colmcille in round 4 of the league on Saturday evening. Colmcille opened the scoring and the sides exchanged scores for the opening 10 minutes. Killoe soon pushed ahead with well taken scores from Paddy Moran and Mark Hughes while Gavin Farrelly was unlucky with a goal chance hitting the side netting after a cutting run. Killoe led by 5 at halftime and continued to put pressure on Colmcille with more points from Cian Dooner, Colm Coyle & Shane Clarke. The Killoe defence was solid throughout the game and denied Colmcille any easy shots. Niall Farrelly got a fantastic block on a goal bound shot late in the second half which ensured Killoe seen out the win. Full time score Killoe 0-13, Colmcille 0-7.
Division 3 vs Longford Slashers
Our Junior team recorded an 8 point win in round 3 of Division 3 over Longford Slashers on Sunday. Full time score Killoe 2-18, Longford Slashers 3-7.
Upcoming Fixtures
Our Senior team take on Lucan Sarsfields on Friday evening at 7:30pm in the semi final of the Leinster Club League Competition. Our Division 5 team are away to Abbeylara on Sunday at 2pm in Oliver Lynch Park.
