10k Annual 5 and 10k:
Our annual 5k and 10k took place on Sunday last. The morning started off showery but as race time approached the sun came out and stayed dry for the remainder of the event. In the mens 10k 1st home Gary Brady, 2nd Barry Shiels and 3rd Seamus Murtagh. First past the post in the Ladies 10k was Louise Clarke, 2nd Karen Cassin and 3rd Wendy Ferris. In the ladies 5k 1st Therese O’Connor, 2nd Fiona Fallon and 3rd was Hazel Jones. In the men’s 5k 1st Andrew Nevin, 2nd Michael Kavanagh and 3rd Jimmy Farrell. The 1st juvenile female Sarah Tully and the 1st juvenile male Daniel Higgins. Thanks to all who participated in the event.
A special word of thanks to Fiona Shannon and Sinead Killian for helping out and making sure the event ran off so smoothly. Thanks also to all the people who helped out with registration, catering and all the stewards who helped out on the day.
Membership:
Club Membership for 2020 continues to be collected by Club Registrars Ronan McGoldrick and Sean Whelan. All players need to be registered before first game.
Lotto:
Our weekly lotto draw took place in Begleys Bar on Sunday night. There were no jackpot winners. The numbers drawn were 14,18,20 and 33. The €20 winners Georgina Browne Esker, Colm Harte Killoe, Fergal O’Donnell Kellether, Conor & Emily Nolan Killoe and Maureen Killmurray c/o Bingo.
The sellers prize went to Tom McManus. Next weeks draw takes place in The Olde Forge and the jackpot will be €10,500. Thank you for your continued support for our weekly lotto.
