Senior Club Notes 14th January 2019

Registration for our Couch-5km will be on Wednesday January 16th 7-8pm at Emmet Park Clonee Killoe. This is a 6 week Programme in the Mall Longford 2 days a week, every Wednesday evening at 7.30pm as a walker with walking group or as a jogger with Brendan Doyle at 6.30-7.20pm for beginners or 7.30 -8.30pm for advanced which is also on Wednesday evening.

Saturday morning all the group will meet at the Mall 9.15am for Parkrun at 9.30am.  €50 JOGGERS and €20 WALKERS

This includes the Killoe 5km Race on 3rd of March. If you are unable to make the Registration night, please contact Mary on 0868716331 or Claire on 0868100518 for forms and payment.

This year we are adding as an optional extra a fitness class aimed for all abilities run by Stephen Cosgrave an Instructor who will also speak about a food plan and nutrition.  This will take place in Ennybegs Community Center from 7.30pm -8.30pm starting Monday 21st January for 6 week.

Our Annual Dinner Dance takes place on Saturday night next 19th January in the Longford Arms Hotel at 8pm sharp.  Tickets are available from the usual outlets or any committee member priced at €30 each to be purchased by Wednesday.  Entertainment on the night by the popular Scrufy Duffy.  A great night guaranteed.

Presentations will be made on the night to the Junior Championships, U20 and Reserve League Div 3 team. Also Junior and Senior player of the year awareds, Club Person of the year and Hall of Fame Award.

Scor: Anyone interested in participating in Scor this year is asked to contact our new Culture Officer Marie Brady as soon as possible.  Scor takes place in Abbeylara on Saturday 9th February.

Membership: Club membership is now due and can be paid to Registrar’s Ronan McGoldrick or Sean Whelan.

Lotto Results:  Our Lotto Draw took place in the Old Forge on Sunday night 13th January for a jackpot of €4,500.  There was no winner of our Jackpot.  The numbers drawn were 39, 9, 25 and 30. The €20 winners were: Rita Moran Clontumpher, Ryan Keogh Clontumpher, James Connell Clonee, Paddy and Margaret Lee Esker and Mick Fox c/o Doyle. Sellers prize went to Frank Toher.  Next week’s draw will take place in Begley’s for a jackpot of €4,600. Thank you for your continued support to our lotto.
