Senior Club Notes 7th December 2015

We held our annual club fundraiser which this year was the musical extravaganza ‘beat in the barracks’ at the weekend. Despite the best efforts of Storm Desmond which battered us for the two nights, we had two memorable nights in the red barn. We would like firstly to thank all who supported the event by attending on either of the the nights or by buying tickets. Additionally we would like to thank all who helped out in any way in pulling the event together,  starting with all who gave their time voluntarily in atrocious weather conditions to act as stewards or bar staff on the nights. Additionally we would like to thank all who performed over the two nights, particularly local man Paul Brady ‘aka DJ roster’ who came in at late notice to open the show on Saturday evening. Finally thanks to all who assisted from the order of Malta, An Garda Siochana, Sean Clarke who provided security and all other people who assisted overt the weekend.

The leader cup final scheduled to take place last Saturday evening was deferred and will no take place this Saturday evening in Monaduff at at 5pm.

Our lotto draw took place on Sunday night in Begleys and the numbers drawn were 4, 6, 20 and 26. The jackpot of €2,700 was not won. €20 winners were Thomas Donohoe, Farragh, Turllough Farrelly, Soran, Gerard Gilna, Soran, Eileen Quinn, C/O Frank Toher and Tony Flaherty, Teffia Park. This weeks sellers prize went to Frank Toher. Next weeks draw for €2,800 will take place in the Olde Forge on Sunday night.

Finally we offer our deepest sympathies to the Keogh family on their sudden bereavement last week. May Jim rest in peace.
