Our senior team played Longford Slashers in the league on Sunday last and after what was certainly a game of two varying halves, we eventually came out on top by two points. After playing some lovely football in the first half we went in at the break leading by 11 points to 1-3 with 3 very sweet points coming from Ciaran Donohoe. However Longford Slashers turned on the style in the second half to level the game at 2-7 to 13 points with minutes to go. However a Jamie King point gave us the lead before Mark Hughes tagged on a late point to ensure victory on a score of 15 points to 2-7. Well done to all involved.
This coming weekend our seniors area way to Carrickedmond on Friday evening at 8pm. Our juniors are due to play the semi final of the Gilmore cup also. Please see fixtures for details of this game.
