2021 Senior Championship Rd 1 V Fr. Manning Gaels
With little time to dwell on our 2020 Championship win, our senior team were back into action on Saturday last, recording a comprehensive win over Fr. Manning Gaels. Both sides took their time to find the target with Fr. Manning Gaels recording the first score. A further exchange of points was soon interrupted by a brilliantly taken Mark Hughes goal. Fr. Manning Gaels continued to fight on and had brought the sides level with 5 mins to go in the first half when Daniel Mimnagh slipped inside to score another goal. 2-5 to 0-6 points was the half time score. When play resumed Killoe never looked back despite going down to 14 men when Mickey Quinn received a black card. A third goal scored by Ronan McGoldrick and some well taken points sealed the victory for Killoe with the full time score reading Killoe 3-15, Fr. Manning Gaels 0-7.
2021 Intermediate Championship Rd 1 V Cashel
Our Intermediate team lost out by 4 points to Cashel on Sunday last in a closely fought encounter. The team put in a spirited display but will rue their missed chances which could have changed the result. Full time score: Killoe 2-4 Cashel 1-11. The team will face St. Brigids Killashee next Sunday in round 2.
Upcoming Fixtures
Our Senior team take on Longford Slashers in round 2 of the Senior Championship next Friday at 8pm in Páirc Chiaráin. Our Intermediate team face St Brigids Killashee in round 2 of the Intermediate Championship next Sunday at 11:30am in Dunbeggan. Best of luck to both teams.
