KILLOE YOUNG EMMETS - KILLOE ÓG - KILLOE LADIES
KILLOE GAA

Senior Club Notes 5th September 2015

We took on Longford Slashers in the quarter final of the senior championship on Sunday evening in Pearse Park and finally ended the saga of the summer by seeing them off 15 points to 1-9 at the final whistle. We now face St. Columbas in the semi final. Hard luck to Longford Slashers and well done to the Killoe team and management.

This coming weekend our intermediate B team face Sean Connolly’s in the quarter final of the championship. This is a home game which is currently scheduled for Saturday evening. Please see fixtures section or social media for time.

Best wishes to our ladies team who contest the county final against Mostrim on Saturday next. Well done to the Longford ladies team including the Killoe representatives on their great win over Derry at the weekend.

Our lotto draw took place in Begleys bar on Sunday night and the numbers drawn were 11, 14, 15 and 22.  There was no jackpot winner. €20 winners were Brendan Bracken senior, Sean and Joe Killian, Crann Lur, Patsy Fox, Esker, Michael McComack, C/O Eugene Caherly and Johnny O Hara with Brendan Bracken senior taking the sellers prize. Thanks again to all who continue to support our lotto draw.

Congratulations to former player David McGoey and Edel Hawkins who got married during the week. Also many congratulations to John and Annette Kiernan on the birth of a bouncing baby boy last week.

Finally we offer our condolences to the Hagan family on their recent bereavement.
