We had a poor weekend in terms of results with both our senior and junior teams losing in the league to St Columbas and Longford Slashers respectively. Both squads certainly have plenty of scope for improvement as we face into the Summer Months.
This coming weekend sees the commencement of the senior B championship. We are at home to Carrickedmond at 8.30pm on Friday evening.
This year we are again taking part in the excellent Topaz, Cash for clubs offer. Topaz have fantastic prizes on offer for clubs who reach the requisite points total for fuel purchased from Topaz. If you are a registered Topaz Play or park member simply align your card on-line with Emmet Og and we will be awarded points on your fuel purchased. Alternatively, simply purchase your fuel at Byrnes service station, Battery Road Longford and on payment ask staff there to scan the Killoe tag. The offer runs until early August.
Our lotto draw took place on Sunday night and the numbers drawn were 7, 10, 15 and 16. There was no jackpot winner. €20 winners were Ann Mullarkey, Dublin, Kevin Bracken, Clondra, Jim McGoldrick, Ennybegs, Aubrey Walsh, Kilnashee and Ava Percival, Annally Park with Gerry Rowley taking the sellers prize. Once again we remind our supporters that our lotto is our only source of income and is vital in keeping our fabulous facilities in Emmet Park up and running. We urge all our supporters to play our lotto, either on line at ww.killoegaa.ie, through any club member or locally in any of our great shops or pubs. Discounted annual lotto membership is available from any club member, €25 for 3 months, €50 for 6 months or €100 for the full year. Thanks to all who play our lotto regularly.
Finally we offer our sincerest sympathies to Patsy Fox and family on the untimely death of Dorothy last week. May she rest in peace.
