Congratulations to the Longford senior team and our 4 representatives who played a major roll in their fine win over Derry on Sunday last. In what was an entertaining game we were ahead throughout and were deserving winners. Good luck next weekend against Armagh.
Our couch to 5K group are up and running with large numbers in attendance each Thursday evening and Saturday morning in the Mall. Indeed the amount of walkers, joggers and runners on the roads of our parish has also greatly increased as Spring has sprung, due in no small way to this great initiative.
Our lotto draw took place on Sunday night in The Olde Forge for a jackpot of €11,100 and the numbers drawn were 19, 22, 29 and 35. There was no jackpot winner. €20 winners were John Bracken, Orla Watters, Fearglas, Mohill, Pat Doherty, Esker, William Hughes, Esker and Pat Quinn Bawn. This weeks sellers prize went to Joe Leonard. Next week sees the jackpot rise to €11,200 with the draw in Begleys bar on Sunday night. Thanks again to all who support our lotto.
