Senior Championship Round 5 V Clonguish

Our Senior team secured their quarter final place with a 4 point win over Clonguish on Friday night. With the pressure on to deliver coming into Fridays game, Killoe started lively and were 4 points to the good when Clonguish capitalised on a loose ball to score a goal. Killoe got the ball back in play quickly and it found its way to Daniel Mimnagh who fired home for a fantastic goal. By halftime Killoe held a 5 point lead but Clonguish never looked like giving up. Midway through the second half, a lapse in concentration allowed a Clonguish forward straight through on goal which he fired into the top corner to bring the deficit back to 3 points. Killoe regained their composure quickly though, while substitutes Denis McGoldrick and Larry Moran added much needed scores to maintain the lead. Shane Fitzpatrick pulled off another fine save in the dying moments of the game to ensure a 4 point win for Killoe. Full time score Killoe 1-13, Clonguish 2-6. Well done to all.

Junior Championship Round 4 V Grattan Óg

Our Juniors lost out to Grattan Óg on a score of 1-18 to 0-8. Commiserations to the team and management. The team now play Clonguish in the final round needing a win to be in with a chance of progressing to the semi final.
