Club Championship Tickets
Tickets for the upcoming club championship games will only be available online at longfordgaa.ie/tickets-clubs. Unfortunately no tickets will be available at the grounds before matches. If any supporter is unable to purchase a ticket online please contact any member of the club executive who will help arrange a ticket for you.
Senior Championship Round 1 V Rathcline
Our Seniors fell to a 3 point defeat at the hands of Rathcline in the opening round of the senior championship on Sunday evening. Killoe got off to bad start as Rathcline punished Killoe errors to score 1-1 without reply inside the first 5 minutes. Killoe regained their composure and kicked 6 points inside the next 10 minutes to draw level. Further points were exchanged with Daniel Mimnagh edging Killoe in front just before half time. Cian Dooner increased the Killoe lead to 2 points mid way through the second half but Rathcline always looked dangerous throughout. A soft free conceded in the middle of the pitch was quickly moved forward by Rathcline and they scored their second goal to put them ahead. Substitute Ciaran Donohoe kicked two well taken points but Rathcline were able to respond each time and see out the game. Full time score Killoe 0-17 Rathcline 2-14. Our Junior team begin their championship away to Ballymore this Saturday at 7PM in Ballybrien.
Our Senior team take on Colmcille in round 2 of the championship on Sunday next at 5:15PM in Páirc na nGael.
