Senior Club Notes 31st July 2017

We played Longford Slashers on Sunday last in wet conditions in championship round 2. After trailing throughout we rallied late on to finish strong and gain a valuable point which leaves us qualified for the knock out stages after two games. Well done to all involved.

Our remaining round 1 game against Mullinalaughta will take place on Friday evening week with a venue yet to be decided.

This coming Wednesday evening our juniors face Drumlish at home in the 15 a side league at 8pm while on Sunday coming our senior b team contest the championship final against Abbeylara. Good luck to both.

Our mens shed continues to go from strength to strength. They have a large selection of fresh vegetables growing in their garden and these are for sale to the public during their weekly meetings on Thursday evenings between 7pm and 9pm.

Our lotto draw took place on Sunday night in the Olde forge and the numbers drawn were 10, 24, 28 and 29. There was no jackpot winner. €20 winners were Kevin Dalton, Leitrim Cross, Maura Maguire, Esker, Willie and Mary Brady, Dooroc, Allison Kenny, Clontumpher and Celine Grant, Killoe. This weeks sellers prize went to Gerry Rowley. Next week sees the jackpot rise to €8,600 with the draw in Begleys bar on Sunday night. Thanks again to all who support our lotto.

Finally congratulations to Clara Brady and Cormac O Reilly on the birth of a beautiful baby girl last week.
