Senior Club Notes 31st December 2016

Our novelty fundraising game married’s V singles took place on St Stephens day and was well attended. Both sides showed a few changes from last year and the game was played in its usual sporting manner. In a high scoring affair, a draw was the eventual outcome as usual.  Well done to all who played and turned up to support the event. This years chosen charity was Good 2 Talk with all monies raised donated.

Our annual general meeting will take place on Sunday the 8th of January at 4pm in the club house. All club members are invited to attend.

This years dinner dance will yet again take place in The Landmark Hotel, Carrick On Shannon and is on the 14th January. On the night we will be honoring our intermediate team of 1977 who won the championship and propelled us back to senior status.

Tickets at €30 are available from Jim McGoldrick, Begley’s, The Forge, Doyle’s, Brian Donohoe, Robbie Browne, Turlough Farrelly, John Conlon, John Fitzsimons, Frank Kiernan, Berney Brady, John Dowd, Thomas Donoghoe , Mgt McCormack, Brendan Bracken. Music on the night by the fabulous Midnight Radio.

Finally we offer our deepest sympathies to the Toher family on the death of Mrs Toher before Christmas. May she rest in peace.

Finally we wish all our supporters a very happy new year and good wishes for 2017.
