Well done to our instrumental group who captured the senior Scor county title last Friday evening in Ballinamuck. The team now go on to represent Emmet Og in the Leinster semi final in the Downs club, Mullingar on Sunday next, March 8th at 3pm. The group was made up of Dervla Murphy, Mary Walsh, Sean Mulroy, Jim McLoughlin and Gerry McKenna. We wish them every success in the semi final. All support would be appreciated.
Emmet Og GAA Club have signed up to the Topaz cash for clubs loyalty competition which Topaz are now running up to the 15th of May 2015. To support our club in this fundraiser, simply pick up a card at your local topaz service station. Every time you purchase fuel valued at €40 or over, you will receive a stamp on the card and upon completion of the card (5 stamps) simply return it to us. If we get 300 completed cards we are then entered into their draw for the following prizes.

- 10 prizes of €5,000
- 140 prizes of €1,000
Additionally all clubs entered who do not win will receive €250 from Topaz. This is an opportunity not to be missed. Simply fill up at your local TOPAZ service station, get your card and fill it with stamps (5) and return it to Thomas Quinn or any club member at Emmet Og. Well done to the Longford senior and under 21 teams on impressive wins last week. Great to see so many Killoe lads involved with both teams. Best wishes to the under 21 team against Louth this Wednesday evening.
Our 5 and 10 kilometre road races are fast approaching and will take place on Sunday the 22nd of March 2015. Both courses are athletics Ireland measured and approved. Registration is on the morning of the race with the entrance fee set at €15 for runners, €10 for walkers and €5 for under 16’s.
Training is continuing for all members. Our playing season kicks off this coming weekend with both our reserve senior and junior teams in action. Our reserve senior team are at home to Mostrim on Saturday evening at 7pm while our reserve junior team welcome Young Grattan’s to Emmet Park on Sunday at 2pm. Good luck to both teams.
Hard luck to our recent jigs N reels Judge Kathleen Mahon on her agonising lose in the Eurosong competition at the weekend. However her weekend ended on a high by making it through to the next round of the voice of Ireland competition. We wish Kathleen every success in this competition.

This weeks lotto draw took place in The Olde Forge and the numbers drawn were 2, 4, 19 and 23. There was no jackpot winner. €20 winners were Sean Killian, Ennybegs, Mary Quinn, Bawn, Michael McCormack, C/O Eugene Caherly, Teresa McKeown, Shygarrow and Megan Lee, Ennybegs.
