We finished off our senior league campaign with an agonizing 1 point defeat to Abbeylara on Sunday last in Emmet Park. In a game we looked like winning with 10 minutes to go, Abbey got 3 late points to edge themselves ahead by 13 points to 12 and despite late chances, we couldn’t engineer an equalizer. This victory handed the Division 1 league title to Abbeylara with ourselves pipped into second place. Well done to Abbeylara who have performed consistently well all year and and deserve the league title. We have now qualified for the semi finals of the leader cup which will be held in the coming weeks. Our under 21 team had a fine win over Clonguish in round 2 of the championship on Friday evening last. Final score 3-8 to 9 points.

Navan O Mahoneys are certainly one of the king pins of Leinster football and we will certainly be up against it. All support will be needed so please get into the park and encourage the lads. Good luck to both our seniors and juniors in these important games.
