Next Sunday sees our senior team compete in the county final of 2014 and it is undoubtedly the biggest day in the clubs year. We wish every success to Tommy, Joe and the team and hopefully we will be celebrating on Sunday night.
On Friday night coming, before the county final we host a great night of fun, song and dance in the Olde Forge to celebrate reaching the county final, with a host of local and not so local talent lined up to provide the entertainment. Refreshments will be served on the night and a voluntary collection will be held for club finances. We hope to see a large crowd in attendance.
On Sunday last our junior team contested the junior A county final. However we came up just short against a very strong Longford Slashers team who performed very well on the day. Well done to Longford Slashers.
Our lotto draw for €3,900 took place in Begley’s bar on Sunday night with the members 2,10,17 and 26 drawn. There was no jackpot winner. €20 winners were John Lennon, Clontumpher, Johnie Killian, Lettergunnell, Dessie McGoldrick, New York, Mossie Burns, Newtownbond and Devin Barry, C/O Keoghs Ohill. Finally we wish to extend our sympathies to the Mullen family, Rhyne, the Prunty family, Clontumpher and the Mahon family on their bereavements during the week.
