Senior Championship Round 4 V Abbeylara

Our Senior team secured a valuable point with a draw against Abbeylara last Saturday in Pairc na nGael. Abbeylara held the lead for most the game as Killoe struggled to get scores on the board. A long range point from Cian Farrelly followed by a goal chance for Jake Donnelly that went over the bar were Killoes only scores from play in the first half. The halftime score read Abbeylara 0-06 Killoe 0-4. Killoe looked a much improved side in the second half with substitutes Ciaran Donohoe and Eamon Keogh making a significant impact with some well taken scores. However, with 3 minutes on the clock, Abbeylara went ahead courtesy of a free. Their defence looked to be seeing off the Killoe attack when finally Daniel Mimnagh got the crucial score to secure a draw. Full time score Killoe 0-12, Abbeylara 0-12. The result leaves us needing a win over Clonguish to guarantee a quarter final place.

Junior Championship Round 3 V Longford Slashers

Our Juniors recorded a second win on the trot with a comprehensive 3-17 to 0-7 win over Longford Slashers. Well done to all.
