Senior Club Notes – 27th May 2019

Reserve League:

Our Reserve League 1 team were defeated by Clonguish on Friday night last on a score line of Killoe 0-10 to Clonguish 2-7.

Next week the reserve league team are in action again. Please check fixture list for details of games.

School girls win:

Well done to St. Teresa’s National School on winning the Division 1 Championship on Wednesday evening last. Congrats to all the girls and the management team of Gerry Rowley and Marie Brady.

Special Minor League:

Congratulations to our Minor team on winning the Special Minor League title on Tuesday night last in a thrilling match against Longford Slashers after extra time. Congratulations to all the player and the management team of Sean Maguire, Joe Maloney, Eugene Clarke and Sean Feeney.

Lotto:

Our weekly lotto draw took place in Begleys on Sunday night. There were no jackpot winners. The numbers drawn were 1,8,10,19. The 20 winners were Georgina Browne Esker, Eamon Keogh Ohill, Paddy Thompson Esker, Kathleen Hussey and Gerry Colreavy Ennybegs. The sellers prize went to Jimmy Halpin.

Next weeks draw takes place in The Olde Forge for a jackpot of 6,500. Thanks to all for your continued support for our lotto. We would appeal to more families in the parish to buy a yearly ticket as this is the clubs main source of income for the year.

Longford:

Well done to the Longford Senior team who put in a great performance against Kildare on Sunday last. We wish them the best of luck in the replay next Sunday.

Sympathy:

On behalf of the club we extend our sincere sympathies to the family of Michael Reilly Ardagh and formerly of Farragh who died recently. Michael played with the club in the early seventies before leaving for New York where he also played for Longford. Ar dheis de go raibh a ainm dhilis.
