Our senior B team were in action on Tuesday evening last against St Columbas and after a tight hard fought game came out victorious by the narrowest of margins on a scoreline of 2-11 to 1-13. Well done to team and management. This coming weekend our junior reserve team are out against Kenagh in the league semi final on Friday evening. Throw in is at 8.15pm in Emmet Park.
Good luck to the Longford senior team against Donegal on Saturday evening next. Hopefully they can pull off another major shock.
Our lotto draw took place on Sunday night in Begleys and the numbers drawn were 8, 30, 32 and 36. There was no jackpot winner. €20 winners were Fr Sean Casey, Padraig Brady, Esker, Sharon Courtney, Kenagh, Jimmy McCormack, Bawn and Sean McKenna, Knockloughlin. This weeks sellers prize went to Joe Leonard. Well done to Fr Sean and all the winners. Next week sees the jackpot rise to €8,100 with the draw in The Olde Forge on Sunday night.

Killoe Mens Shed in Kiltyreher are having their official opening on Friday next 30th June at 3pm. This is a great day for the newly formed Men’s Shed group which only started a short time ago. Everyone has put in a lot of work and now have a shed and garden that every member is very proud off. On Friday next we are having a woodturning demonstration, and a display of some items that were made by the shedders Irish Music and dancing. A beautifully restored Steam Engine will be on display and overall viewing of the shed and garden along with the opening and blessing of this very fine premises. Refreshment’s will be served and we invite everyone who can to please come along. Everyone is welcome to join us on this very special and historic day for the Killoe Men’s Shed Group.
