Senior Club Notes – 26th January 2015

Preparations are continuing for our annual dinner dance which takes place as usual in the Longford Arms hotel on Saturday night next. Music on the night is by Pascal, Liz and Dave with a great nights dancing guaranteed. The event will commence at 8pm sharp in order to get through the various medal presentations in a timely fashion. A special guest will be on hand to present the medals to all our winning teams, both ladies and gentlemen from last year. Registration for this year is now being collected by James McGoldrick and is priced at €25 for a non playing member, €20 for student players and €40 for full players. The registration not only covers all insurance, etc but gives members a right to have their say in the running of the club and vote on important decisions at club meetings, etc. Additionally all club members are entered in our annual draw for 2 All Ireland Hurling and Football tickets each September. We are actively encouraging more non playing members to join our club and get involved in its running.

Our lotto draw took place in Begley’s bar on Sunday night and the numbers drawn were 16, 19, 21 and 22. There was no jackpot winner.€20 winners were Fergal O Fagan, Sean Igoe, Kelleter, Patsy Fox, Esker, Donal Maguire, Esker and Danny Keogh. Frank Toher captured this weeks sellers prize. Next weeks jackpot is €2,300 with the draw on Sunday night in the Olde Forge.
