Senior Club Notes 26th February 2018

Congratulations to our Instrumental Music Group who won the County Senior Scor Title in Ardagh Last Friday Night. The Group comprising Marie Brady, Patrick Columb and Padraig Walsh were tremendous on the night. Their performance can be viewed on our Facebook page and has attracted almost 3,000 views already.They progress now to the Leinster Semi-finals next Weekend.


Well done also to the Ballad Group of Marie Brady,Katie O Driscoll, Eamon Keogh, Dean Fitzmaurice, Niall Farrelly and Marie Brady who also participated in the Solo singing on a fine performances.
It is striking how the club were represented by such a Young and talented group of people who are keeping the club flag flying at Scor Level.

Well done to the Longford senior team on their fine win at the weekend. Hopefully they can push on now and secure promotion

This coming weekend sees games kicking off for 2018 with the commencement of the Bertie Allen Cup. We are a home to Carrickedmond on Saturday evening weather permitting.

Our lotto draw for  a jackpot of €11,400 took place on Sunday night in Begleys and the numbers drawn were 11, 13, 18 and 26. There was no jackpot winner. €20 winners were Helen Keogh, England, John Toher, Michael Bowe, C/O Joe Leonard, Jonathon Reynolds, Longford and Ann and Frank Toher. This weekssellers prize went to Geraldine Halpin. Next week sees the jackpot reach the impressive sum of €11,500 with the draw in the Olde Forge on Sunday night. Thanks again to all who continue to support our lotto.

Finally congratulations to Tricia and John  Costello ho got married at the weekend. We hope you enjoy many very happy years together.
