Senior Club Notes 23rd May 2016

Our senior team were in league action on Sunday against Dromard in what was a very entertaining game at Emmet Park. After a cautious first half we found ourselves all square at the break, 1-6 to 9 points. However we turned on the style in the second half to pull away and record a fine win on a score of 1-21 to 1-10. Well done to all involved. Our junior teams game against Granard on Saturday evening was postponed.

This coming weekend our senior team are away to Rathcline on Friday evening at 8.15pm while our junior team face Shroid in the league on Saturday evening. The game is in Emmet Park at 7pm.

A club meeting will take place on Thursday evening at 9pm  all club members are asked to attend.

Our lotto draw took place on Sunday night in The Olde Forge for a jackpot of €2,100. The numbers drawn were 7, 11, 16 and 24. There was no jackpot winner. €20 winners were Emer and Sharon Muldoon, C/O Ann Murray, Justin Hughes, Ennybegs, Bernard Borland, Ennybegs, Milo Reilly, C/O Milos and Gerry Murphy, C/O Milos. This weeks sellers prize went to Mìchael Kenny. Next weeks draw for a jackpot of €2,200 will take place in Begleys on Sunday night with Bernard Bradys team on duty.

Finally we extend our sympathies to the Moorehead family on their bereavement last week. We also extend our deepest sympathies to Josie and Gerry Rowley on  the death of Josie’s father Mike Cahill, Colehill. May they rest in peace.
