Senior Club Notes – 22nd July 2019

Senior Championship:

We recorded a good win in the first round of the Senior Championship defeating Carrickedmond on a scoreline of Killoe 1-13 to Carrickedmond 0-9. Playing against a strong breeze in the first half Killoe had the better start to the game before Carrickedmond took over and finished the half the stronger. They went in at the break leading on a scoreline of 0-8 to 0-5. The goal was the changing score of the half and Killoe never went behind again in the game. Killoe finished the game the stronger outscoring their opponents 1-8 to Carrickedmonds 1 point. Senior and Junior Championship games next weekend, see fixtures list.

Minor League Success:

Congratulations to the Minor team and management on their great win in the League Final against Longford Slashers played in Pearse Park on Wednesday evening last. Final score Killoe Og 1-17 to Longford Slashers 0-6.

Club Championship Pass:

Longford County Board have issued 2 different passes for this years Club Championship. A Weekend Pass Friday-Sunday inclusive for 20 and also a Group Stage Pass for 50 which includes Senior, Intermediate and Junior Football and 3 Hurling games as well. These passes are available from office in Glennon Brothers Pearse Park.

Lotto:

Our lotto draw took place in Begleys on Sunday night. There were no jackpot winners. The numbers drawn were 1,7,12 and 30. The 20 winners were Megan Caherly New York, Adrian Duke Kilnashee, Colm Hughes Killoe, Sinead and Ciara McKeon Soran and Maebh Brady Boher. The sellers prize went to Tom McManus. Next weeks draw takes place in The Olde Forge and the jackpot will be 7,300. Thank you for your continued support for our lotto.
