KILLOE YOUNG EMMETS - KILLOE ÓG - KILLOE LADIES
KILLOE GAA

Senior Club Notes 22nd February 2016

Our annual 5 and 10 K road races are rapidly approaching and this year will take place on Sunday the 20th March t 12.15p.m. Registration is on the morning and costs €15 for runners, €10 for walkers and €5 for juveniles. The race is again athletics Ireland approved and measured. We hope to have a large number of participants on the day and refreshments served in the club house afterwards.

The inaugural Terry McCormack memorial cycle is also fast approaching and takes place on Saturday the 9th of April with a 30 and 60 Kilometre option on the day. Entry is €25 with all monies raised going to fighting blindness, a cause close to Terrys heart. We hope to see a large crowd from the club supporting this great cause.

Training for all players is now in full swing with the new season approaching rapidly. It is heartening to see such good numbers out already and hope that the remaining few will appear in the coming weeks.

Our lotto draw took place in Begley’s on Sunday night and the numbers drawn were 18,21, 24 and 26. There was no jackpot winner. €20 winners were Darina McGoldrick, Celine Grant, Killoe, Sophie McKeown, Brianstown, Megan lee, Ennybegs and Margaret McCormack with Donal Maguire taking the sellers prize. Well done to all the winners and thanks again to all who support our lotto on  a weekly basis.

Finally we offer our deepest sympathies to the Kennedy family Kilmoyle on the death of Bridget Kennedy at the weekend. May she rest in peace.
