Our under 21 team had a super win in the championship semi final on Sunday last over last years winners Colmcille in Colmcille. A late free from Jamie King proved the difference between the teams with our lads running out 13 points to 1-9 winners.. We now face Clonguish in the final which is our 6th under 21 final appearance in a row. Well done to team and management and good luck in the final.
This weekend we are launching our Christmas 2016 fundraising drive. This year we are taking part in the GAA’s national draw which has excellent prizes on offer including first prize of a car. The draw will take place on the 8th March 2017 in Croke Park. Our very own secretary John Dowd was a big winner in this draw last year. To bring a local element to the fundraiser, we are independently holding a draw and social night in Begleys on Saturday night the 17th December for all tickets sold up yo that point Prizes of €500, €250 and €100 will be on offer in this draw. Ticket are priced at €10 each and tickets sellers will be out and about in the coming weeks. Again we are asking for your support in this fundraising drive.
Best of luck to county champions Mullinalaghta who face the mighty Saint Vincent’s on Sunday in Pearse Park. We hope you give them hell and are successful in reaching the Leinster final.

Finally this Sundays church gate collection is for the local sub aqua club. This club obliged us earlier in the year by allowing our church gate collection to take place on a weekend allocated to them. As such we urge you to support this very worthy cause.
