Scor na nÓg Leinster Semi Final will take this coming Saturday 26th of March in the Downs GAA Club at 2pm. Best Wishes to our Novelty Act team of Adam Mc Carthy, Cian Gilna, Ava Finneran, Sorcha Campbell and Aoife Lee, Rebecca Moorhead in Solo Singing, Amy Finnegan in Recitation and our Ballad Group of Aimee Dolan, Rebecca Moorhead, Alex Lee, Abbie White and Aoife Cullen. Let’s get behind this fantastic and talented bunch and show support for them on the day.
Social & Presentation Night
A date for your diary: Our club social and presentation night takes place on Saturday April 23rd at 9pm in Longford Rugby Club. Free admission and all members & supporters are welcome to attend.
Club Fundraiser
Once again the GAA have launched the National Club Draw for 2022. The draw takes place on June 4th 2022. This is always a great fundraiser for us and we are asking all our members for their support. Tickets will be available from all committee members and online at €10 each. A full list of the prizes are available on our facebook page. Along with the National Draw we are also holding a seperate draw for €1000 in prizes. 1st Prize of €500 and 5 prizes of €100 each. Please Support.
2022 Club Membership
Club Membership for the 2022 season is now open and can be purchased from any member of the club executive as well as online through Foireann (returntoplay.gaa.ie) and Clubforce.
Membership for the 2022 Club Season is as follows:
Adult Player – €40
Adult non-player – €25
Student Player- €20
Membership entitlements include entry into draw for All Ireland Football & Hurling Finals tickets, entry into any draw for tickets to our Club Championship games, as well as Club voting rights.
Leinster Minor Championship
Congratulations to the Longford Minor team and management on their fantastic win over Meath in the Leinster Championship.
Upcoming Fixtures
Our first league games of the year will kick off on Saturday April 9th with our division 5 team taking on Legan Sarsfields at home in round 1. Our first Senior division 1 game takes place on Saturday April 23rd at home to Clonguish while on the same weekend our junior team we will also be away to Clonguish in Division 3. Time & dates TBC.
