All roads lead to Pearse Park this coming Sunday with our Junior team contesting the junior championship final against Clonguish at 2pm. We wish manager Kevin Dooner and all involved all the best in the game. Hopefully we will be celebrating on Sunday evening. Our seniors had a good win over Longford Slashers in the Leader cup semi final on Saturday evening last. We now face the winners of the other semi final Clonguish or St Columbas in the final.
Good luck to our ladies and minor teams who have championship finals and semi finals next weekend.
Last week was a very interesting week for the club with a camera crew on hand from Croke Park as part of the healthy clubs initiative, filming real events in the life of our club for an upcoming promotional campaign they are running. Club members from under 6’s right up to our president were recorded in action as the week developed capturing all aspects in the life of a real functioning club. Great credit is due to Claire Kiernan as health and well being officer and all who assisted in the organisation and running of the various events. We look forward to seeing the finished product in the near future.
Our lotto draw this week took place in The Olde Forge on Sunday night and the numbers drawn were 6, 8, 15 and 20. There was no jackpot winner. €20 winners were John Bracken, Carmel Twaddle, Donal McGuire, Esker, James Gray, Ennybegs and Sean Kelly, Mohill. This weeks sellers prize went to Brendan Bracken junior. Next week sees our jackpot hit €3,000 with the draw in Begleys on Sunday night.
Finally this week we offer our depest sympathies to the Prunty and Keogh families on their recent bereavements.
