Senior Club Notes – 15th December 2014

As 2014 comes to an end we have only one game left and that is our annual ‘Marrieds V Singles’ charity game which will take place in Emmet Park on St. Stephens Day at 2pm. This is always a great bit of crack and a good chance to blow off the previous days excess’s. All money raised through this event goes directly to Saint Christopher’s as always. We hope to see a good crowd in attendance with the marrieds again picking up a few valuable signings this year.

Best wishes to Daniel Mimnagh who underwent his operation last week following his recent injury. We hope to see him back on the training fields in the new Year.

Our club Agm will take place in the clubhouse on Sunday the 4th January 2015 at 3p.m. We hope to see a large crowd in attendance.

Our dinner dance is booked for the The Longford Arms Hotel on Saturday night the 31st January 2015 with presentations on the night to all our winnning teams. Tickets will be available shortly through all club members.

Our lotto draw took place on Sunday night in the Olde Forge and the numbers drawn were 2, 3, 9 and 14. There was no jackpot winner. €20 winners were Bridie Browne, Traenlawn, Kathleen Corrigan, Esker, Aidan Quinn, Newtownbond, Roisin Lennon, Esker and Tom Glennon, Micknagh. This weeks sellers prize went to Seamus Lynch. Well done to all our winners. Next weeks draw for our Christmas jackpot of €1,800 takes place in Begleys bar on Sunday night.

Finally congratulations to Karen Prunty and Thomas Martin as well as proud grandparents Kevin and Bridie Prunty on their recent new arrival. A first granddaughter for Kevin and Bridie.
