Senior Club Notes 11th July 2016

Championship season 2016 kicked off on Friday evening last with our Senior b team in action against Clonguish in Emmet Park.  Unfortunately after an entertaining game we came out on the wrong side of a 2-14 to 2-11 scoreline.  The game certainly showed us that we have a lot of work to do in the run up to the senior championship.  The second round of this competition is against Dromard and takes place this coming Sunday.  Our junior reserve team contest the league semi final this coming Friday evening. We are at home to Young Grattens. Good luck to all involved.

Huge congratulations to Denis Connerton and the Longford squad on their phenomenal win over Monaghan last Saturday.  Particularly well done to the Killoe crew of Mark Hughes, Cian Farrelly and Mickey Quinn who all played pivotal roles in the win.  Best wishes for the next round against Cork.

Our lotto draw took place on Sunday night last in Begleys and the numbers drawn were 17,20, 28 and 30. There was no jackpot winner. €20 winners were the Kiernan family, Knockloughlin, Kathleen Bracken, C/O Milos, Tom McManus, Shane Thompson, Esker and Ciara Gilna, Esker. This weeks sellers prize went to Robbie Browne. Well done to all the winners and thanks again to all who continue to support our lotto.

Finally we offer our deepest sympathies to the Hughes family, Carryglas on the death of Jackie at the weekend. May he rest in peace.
