2021 Senior Championship Round 5 V Mostrim
Our rescheduled Senior Championship game V Mostrim took place on Tuesday night last in Monaduff where the team fell to their first defeat of the year. Killoe took an early lead in the game but will rue a number of missed chances to widen the gap between the sides. With 22 minutes gone Mostrim had just gone in front for the first time when a high ball into the square was punched into the net to give Mostrim a crucial goal and a 3 point lead at half time. Killoe endeavoured to close the gap but mistakes and both ends of the field proved costly. In the final minutes of the game, a breakdown in play allowed Mostrim to counterattack which yielded a second goal to seal the game. Final Score: Mostrim 2-10, Killoe 0-10. The result means Killoe finish 3rd in group A and will take on Abbeylara in the Quarter final next weekend.
Upcoming Fixtures
On Saturday our Seniors take on Abbeylara in the Championship Quarter final at 2PM in Pearse Park.
Our Intermediates play Ballymore in the semi final of the Gilmore Cup next weekend also. Time & Venue TBC. Best of luck to both teams.
