Senior Club Notes 10th October 2016

Our junior team were in action on Sunday last in the Gilmore cup final and achieved a fine victory over Abbeylara on a score of 3-12 to 1-10. Paul O Hara was the chief marksman with 2-2 while Cormac O Reilly notched the third goal. Well done to team and management.

Hard luck to our fabulous ladies team who unfortunately bowed out of the Leinster championship at the semi final  stage on Sunday last after extra time.  We have no doubt that given your skill and fitness levels, ye are very close to a leinster title. Please God ye can keep it together and push on next year.

This coming weekend our intermediate b team contest the championship final against a very strong Ardagh/Moydow team.  we wish them the best of luck.

Our annual church gate collections will take place this coming weekend at all Masses in the parish.

Our lotto draw took place on Sunday night in The Olde Forge and the numbers drawn were 8, 9 25 and 29. There was no jackpot winner. €20 winners were Emer and Sharon Muldoon, C/O Ann Murray, Matt Duggan, Soran, Mary Dowd, Glenoughill, Jimmy McGreavy, C/O Seamus Nolan and Sean Conlon, Newtownbond. This weeks sellers prize went to Ann Toher. Well done to all the winners.

Next weeks draw for a jackpot of €4,200 will take place in Begleys bar with Bernie Bradies team on duty.

Finally this week offer our sincerest condolences to the Bracken and Donohoe families on their bereavements during the week.
