We had mixed fortunes on the playing fields on Sunday, with both our junior and senior teams in action. First up on Sunday morning were our junior team who faced Young Gratten’s in round 2 of the championship. After a fine display by our entire backline in the first half, we went on to register a good win. We face a much sterner test next weekend when we face Moydow in round 3. The game is in Moydow at 12midday on Sunday.
On Sunday afternoon our senior team fell to a vastly superior Dromard team in round 3 of the championship. This leaves us with a very difficult championship qualifier draw against Ballymahon next weekend to decide if we progress to the quarter final. The game is in Ardagh at 6.15pm on Sunday evening next.
Our lotto draw took place in The Olde Forge on Sunday night and the numbers drawn were 11,18,25 and 27. There was no jackpot winner. €20 winners were Margaret McCormack, Kiltyreher, Padraig Crowley, C/O John Fitzsimons, Jason Tully, Sean Loughlin, C/O Under 8 training and Peader Gormley, Aughnacliff. This weeks sellers prize went to Ann Murray. Next week sees the jackpot rise to €5,000 with the draw in Begleys on Sunday night. Thanks again to all who support our lotto.
