Minor Club Notes 4th June 2018

Killoe Minor Club held their inaugural U10 Packie Joe Lynch memorial tournament on Saturday 2nd June.

We would like to thank the 13 clubs who travelled to us, coming from Roscomon Meath Cavan Leitrim Westmeath and Longford in making the tournament a tremendous success.

Congratulations to winners Castlrea who defeated Mullahoran in the Cup final, to Sean Connolly’s who defeated Dromard in the Shield final and Clonguish who defeated Kenagh in the Plate final after extra time.

Thanks to all who helped to ensure success of today’s Blitz including referees umpires, stewards our senior club and those who provided refreshments. We hope you all had an enjoyable day.

On Sunday our u12 and u14 played challenge matches against Gowna and Boyle respectively while our u8 walked out  with the senior team behind the  school band in the Micheal Kiernan memorial game against Roscommon Gaels. The u8 also played at half time in this game.

To round up the weekend activities on Sunday night our 14 feile fundraiser Strictly Karaoke was held  in Old Forge. It was a cracking  nights entertainment and thanks to the patrons organising committee the entertainers  the Judges  and the staff in the Old forge for a great night.

Congragulations to our u14 on winning the league title on Friday night last over Carrick Sarsfield  on a scoreline of 8-9 to 1-8.

Well done to our u12 on defeating clonguish  in Donal McElligott -Donal Wrynn Longford-Leitrim league  and hard luck in the Emily Mulligan division of longford Leitrim league in a narrow death to Clonguish.

U12s are due to play Mohill in Longford Leitrim league on thursday 6th May in Clonee and Monday 11th June away to St Marys – Kiltoghert.

U10 blitz is on Wednesday 6th June in Clonbroney at 7 pm.
