Minor Club Notes 28th August 2017

We are holding our annual clothing collection on Saturday  7th October.  We can accept your clean  unwanted  clothes  bedlinen towels  and  textiles  including  shoes bags  belts and   soft toys .We  will be ready  to take  in your unwanted items  each Friday  evening  from  6.30-7.30 in Clonee  .  If you  cannot  drop off  your unwanted items  please  contact  either Turlough Farrelly  ( 087 2305679) Robbie Browne ( 087 4133975) or  Tom Walsh (086 8596065) and  we   can arrange  collection of  same.
The  last U10  Blitz of the  year  will be held  in Clonee of  Wednesday evening next at 7pm.  Flood light blitz will  commences  on Wednesday  13 September.  Training will   continue on Friday nights.
Our  u8 team  had their last outdoor  blitz  on Wednesday night last.   Indoors  Blitz will  commence  on 8th September.    Training wiill continue in Clonee of Friday  nights. 
 
Our  Minors have a bye week in the  second  round of the  minor championship on Monday  the  4th September. 
 
Well done   to  our U16’s in the third  round of the county championship  when they  had a  comfortable win  over  Shamrock gaels  on Thursday  night  last. With the  other results in  the group this  left us  in  joint top spot with  Longford Slashers  and Carrick Sarsfield Moydow Kenagh.  As one team  is going through  from the group a  playoff  draw has  not yet been held.  First  round of the club  championship is on  Thursday night next 31th August away to  Clonguish at 7pm
 
Our  u12 are away  on Thursday  29th August  to Carrick Sarsfield.  This team was well beaten  by a very strong  Clonguish team  last week.
Best  wishes  to  our senior  on Sunday   next  against  Mullingatha  in the quarter  final replay of the senior championship.
 
Wel  done to  our U14  in the  first   round of the  championship  last week.  Next  round is of division 1  champsionship is on  29th August  against  Granard  Balymore in Emmett Park at 7.30 pm. C  Championship  is on against  Northern Gaels time to  be  confirmed. 
 
The  club extends its sympathy  to the Herbron family  on their  recent bereavement.
