Minor Club Notes 26th September 2016

Congratulations to  our  Juvenile team on winning  the  County championship Final on a scoreline of 4-8 to 1-6   over  Longford Slashers.   Well done to the players  and mentors on winning  back to  back  league and championship  double.

Our club has its  annual  club  draw in Begleys  on Saturday night.   Congratulations to  the  winners who were  as  follows: €200 Eimear Igoe Micknagh  €150 Marion Madden Clontumpher  €100 Brian Harte Clontumpher  €50  Shane  Donohoe Kiltyreher and Sellers Prize  €50  Francis Rowley Dooroc Thank you to  all  those who supported  our draw, Begleys , those who donated  spot prizes and Graham Feeney who provided  the  musical  entertainment on the night.

Thank you to our main sponsors  Kiernan Structural Steel, BM Motor  Factors who sponsored a new set  of Jerseys for the U16 team and Reilly  Kitchens  on sponsoring a  new set of  U14   Jerseys.

Best wishes to  our minor  team in the Minor Championship  final on Sunday next 2th October  at  4.15 pm in Pearse Park against Shamrock Gaels.

Well done to our U10 ‘s on reaching the  final of the  Mulahoran  tournament.On the way to the  final  the  defeated Gowna, Granard and Dunboyne  before  losing  narrowly  to St  Colmcille from Meath in the  final.

Next Round  of U8 Blitz is on the Friday   30th September in Newtownforbes  hall.

The last  U6  training  session of the season  is on this  Friday  30th September in Clonee  at 6.30 pm.

Congratulations  to  the  County  ladies on   winning  the all Ireland Junior  Championship  in Croke  Park last weekend and in particular  of club  members  Anne Marie Bratten and Jacinta Brady. Best  wishes to  our Senior ladies team  in the Leinster Championship this  weekend at  Louth Champions  Stabannon  Parnells. .

Congratulations to our  Intermediate  B team on reaching  the  County  final  with a  one point  win of Abbeylara. Best wishes to our  Senior  team away to  Abbeylara in their  final  Division 1 game with Division 1 title up for grabs.

The Club  extends in sympathy to the  McLouglin Family Soran  on their recent  bereavement.
