Minor Club Notes 18th September 2017

We are holding our annual clothing collection on Saturday 7th October. We can accept your clean unwanted clothes bedlinen towels and  textiles including shoes bags belts and soft toys. We will be ready to take  in your unwanted items each Friday evening from 6.30-7.30 in Clonee. If you cannot drop off  your unwanted items  please contact either Turlough Farrelly (087 2305679) Robbie Browne (087 4133975) or Tom Walsh (086 8596065) and we can arrange collection of same.

Our U6’s finished their  season last Friday night. The Club would like to thank the children, the parents and especially their coaches Bridget Corrigan and Nicole Rowley for all the work done during the  year. We hope to se all the boys and girls back with us again next year.

U8 Indoors Blitz continues on Friday next 28th September in Newtownforbes  Sport hall  at 7.15 Training will continue in Clonee of Friday  night at 6.30.

Next U10 blitz is on Wednesday  27th September in Clonee at  7pm.

Well done to our U14  Division 1  team on their comprehensive win over St Patrick’s last week. This team has now qualified for the U14 County championship final. The final against Clonguish Og  is fixed for the weekend of 1st October.

The U16 Club championship play off took place this Saturday 23rd against Longford Slashers at 2pm in Pearse park. Well done to our u16’s in the County championship playoff when they defeated Longford Slashers on Thursday night last. The play off final against Carrick Sarsfield Moydow Kenagh is set for Tuesday 26th September.

Well done to our minor on defeating Clonguish Og on Monday night last. With this win they have now reached the championship semi-final.

Best wishes to our Intermediate B team on Sunday next against Colmcille.

The club extends in sympathy to the Fox and Burns families on their recent bereavements.
