Minor Club Notes 10th July 2017

We ran a very successful quiz in the old forge last week. Thank you  to our  sponsors Longford Credit Union , the Old Forge and Kiernan Structural Steel all persons  who  put teams and bought  raffle tickets on the night and those who donated spot prizes. Thank you to Laurel, Danny and the  staff in the Old Forge for making us welcome and we hope everyone enjoyed the  night. Special  thanks to Sinead, Yvonne and Ann who set the questions and ran the quiz on the night and to our MC Gerry.Congratulations  to our U12’s  on winning the Division 1 shield of the  Longford-Leitrim league by defeating Glencar Manorhamiliton on a scoreline of 3-10 to 2-12  in a very exciting  game played in Carrick on Shannon Sunday night.

Best wishes to our representatives in the u17 Leinster football Competition v Laois on Wednesday and to our representatives on the U16  county panel in the ongoing Gerry Reilly tournament.

Next round of the U8 Blitz in on Wednesday at 7pm in Allen Park Newtownforbes.

Our U14 commence  their  U14 championship on Friday night 14th July  away to St Patrick’s  at  7.30 pm . The next round is on Tuesday 18th July at home to Colmmcille/St Francis at 7.30 pm in Clonee.

The Kelloggs Cul camp commences on Monday 17th July in Emmet Park in Clonee. Those who wish to register can do so at www.kelloggsculcamps.gaa.ie.

Finally we offer our deepest sympathies to the Toher, O’Donnell, Mahon, Gilna, Rowley, Farrell, Halpin, Brady and Keogh families on their bereavements.
