Killoe Ladies Score First Victory In Senior Leinster Competition
On Saturday last our senior ladies scored a magnificent win over the Louth Champions Newtown Blues in Drogheda. Killoe ran out easy winners on a scoreline of Killoe 8.15 Newtown Blues 2.07. This is the first win for the club in the senior provincial competition and sets up a semi final away to Sarsfield of Laois on October 18th. Many thanks to all who helped us in our trip to Louth, especially Carrigys bus who provided the team bus, Joe fox for organising the food afterwards, and to the hosts Newtown Blues for their hospitality and for working with us to change the throw in time.
Minors In Semi Final Replay
Our minors take on Clonguish in Emmet Park on Sunday morning next at 11pm in the replay of the championship semi final.
Best Wishes
The club wishes Kira Carbery from our under 12s team all the best with her operation this week.
Killoe Young Emmets Crowned County Champions
On Sunday last the Killoe men claimed their tenth county title with victory over Mullinalaghta St. Columbas in a wind swept Pearse Park. This leaves the senior ladies and mens championship titles both resting in Killoe for the second time in three years. Congratulations to the management team, the players, the executive and all involved in bringing the Connolly cup back to Killoe for the sixth time, and the very best of luck to Joe and the lads in the Leinster competition.
