Seniors Bow Out Of Leinster

On a blustery Saturday afternoon our senior ladies bowed out of the Leinster championship at the semi final stage when they came up against a superior opposition. Leinster success was not meant to be this year, but our girls can rightly hold their heads high having achieved a remarkable fifth county championship title in a row, along side league and gold cup successes this year, to maintain our position at the top of ladies football in Longford. We congratulate captain Edel Quinn and her team on a great year. Many thanks to manager Paul MaGuire and his assistant Eugene Quaine for their work all year. A big thanks to the supporters who travelled to the game on Saturday and to all our games throughout the year.

The successes of any club are not the work of one individual, rather they are the fruits of a collective labour. We thank all those who have worked for us in various ways throughout the year. We appreciate the time they have sacrificed for the sake of the club.

Senior Men Complete The Double

Congratulations to our senior men who completed the double on Saturday evening for the second time in the club history. Certainly a great way to mark the 125th year of football in the parish. The senior men’s and women’s championship and league cups now rest in Killoe for 2014.
