Annual General Meeting

Our AGM took place last Sunday afternoon in Clonee and was well attended. The meeting opened with a blessing from our President Fr. Sean Casey. Our Chairwoman Orla Toher, Secretary Martina McGrath and our Treasure Annita Bratten gave an excellent report on our club. Thank you to everyone who attend and all the outgoing committee members for their time and efforts of the past year. Best wishes to the newly elected committee and to all players and management for the coming year. The following were elected onto our committee for this year.

Dinner Dance

The Killoe GAA Dinner Dance takes place this Saturday 19th of January in the Longford Arms Hotel. Entertainment on the night from DJ Scruffy Duffy. Tickets are €30 and can be purchased from any committee member. A great night’s entertainment guaranteed.

Couch to 5km

“Dust off your Trainers”. Registration for Killoe’s couch to 5km will be happening tonight Wednesday January the 16th from 7-8pm in Emmet Park, Clonee, Killoe. This is a 6 week programme taking place in the Mall Longford 2 days per week.

This year they are adding as an optional extra a fitness class aimed for all abilities run by Stephen Cosgrave instructor which will also speak about a food plan & nutrition this will take place in Enybegs community center 7.30pm -8.30pm starting Monday 21st January for 6 weeks.

  • €20 WALKERS

This includes the Killoe 5km race on Sunday 3rd March. Every Wednesday evening (starting 23rd January) at 7:30pm with the walking group or as a jogger with Brendan Doyle. Beginners at 6:30pm-7:20pm or 7:30pm – 8:30pm for advanced. Saturday morning the 19th January all the group will meet at the Mall at 9:15am for Park Run starting at 9:30am sharp. All welcome to attend. Looking forward to seeing you at registration evening.
