Senior Club Notes 9th February 2015

Collection of membership for this year is progressing very well amongst our players. However we are seeking more non playing members to take out membership for the coming year. Membership rates are €20 for students, €25 for non playing members and €40 for full playing members. As a non playing member you are entitled to attend all club meetings,  thereby having your say on the future direction of the club and the decision making that’s involved in running our club. You are also entered in our annual club draw each November for both all Ireland football and hurling tickets. Anyone wishing to become a  member is asked to do so on line through our award winning website http://www.killoegaa.ie, or by contacting James McGoldrick on 087 9585128 or any club member.

Our very own Laura Doherty will present a workshop on concussion on the 20th of February at 8p.m. in Saint Theresa’s National School. All mentors, trainers and players who are available on the night are asked to attend. The workshop will provide first hand instruction on noticing concussion and responding to it.

This years 5 and 10 K road races will take place on Sunday the 22nd March 2015 at 12pm. Registration is on the morning of the race from 10am to 11am. Further details closer to the time.

Our lotto draw took place on Sunday night in Begley’s and the numbers drawn were 1, 19, 26 and 27. There was no jackpot winner. €20 winners were Paddy Lee, Esker, Seamus Nolan, Bawn, Ann Mullarkey, Dublin, Tony Daly, Knockloughin and Mossie Burns, Newtownbond. This weeks sellers prize went to Bernard Brady. Next weeks draw for €2,500 will take place in the Olde Forge. Please remember you can play on line at any time through our website or in any of our local shops or pubs.

Well done to club sponsor Paul Rowley and his co driver on their  magnificent performance in the Galway Rally at the weekend. Paul managed to keep her between the ditches from start to finish to come home in 10th Place over all. Well done Paul and all involved in his racing team.

Finally we offer our sympathies to the McCann family, Aughnamadoo on their bereavement at the weekend.
