Senior League Round Five
Our Division One side suffered a narrow one-point defeat to Abbeylara in Round 5 of the league last Friday night. We led by two points at half time thanks in part to a superb goal from Daniel Mimnagh, but the home team rallied in the second half to edge ahead by the final whistle. Full time score: Killoe 1-08, Abbeylara 0-13. Next up for the team is a home clash against St. Mary’s Granard on Friday, 15th May, with throw-in at 8pm.
Division Two League Round Four
Our White team were defeated by Mostrim in Round 5 of the All County Football League Division 2 Group 1 on Sunday morning in Clonee. Mostrim led at the break on a scoreline of 1-05 to 0-03 and continued to push on in the second half, eventually running out winners on a final score of 2-10 to 0-08. Credit to the lads for their effort throughout against a strong Mostrim side.
County Senior Team
Hard luck to the Longford Senior Football Team on their defeat to Fermanagh in the Tailteann Cup last Sunday. The players and management represented the county with great commitment and pride throughout the campaign. Wishing them all the best for the next game in 2 weeks time.
