Senior Club Notes – 5th August 2019

Night at the Races:

The Club is hosting a night at the races on Saturday 17th August in The Olde Forge at 9pm. A draw for a weekend away, a €100 hamper and a 1 year lotto entry. There will be an auction on the night for 2 All Ireland Football tickets. Tickets are €5 each and are available from all usual outlets and committee members. Your support would be greatly appreciated.

Senior League:

Our Senior team played Rathcline in the Division 1 league on Wednesday evening last. Rathcline had the better start to the game and went in at the break leading by 0-9 to 0-5. Rathcline started the second half as they ended the first before Killoe eventually got into the game in the final quarter and finished with a draw with a final score of Killoe 0-17 to Rathcline 1-14.

Junior:

On the same evening our Junior team played Fr. Manning Gales in the second round of the Junior Championship. We lead at the break by 0-9 to 0-5 and in the end came out with a win on a scoreline of 1-13 to 1-10.

On Saturday evening we played Colmcille in the final of the Gilmore Cup in Ballinalee. We started off very well before Colmcille rallied and they went in at the break leading on a scoreline of Killoe 1-5 Colmcille 1-8. Killoe got it hard to get back into the game and Colmcille pulled away. The final score was Colmcille 2-13 Killoe 1-10.

Next week our Senior and Junior teams are back in Championship action. Please check fixture list for details.

All Ireland Tickets:

The All Ireland tickets were Football John Conlon, Brid McGoldrick and Aidan Brady and Hurling ticket winners were Turlough Farrelly, Conor Gilna and Noel Devaney.

Lotto:

Our lotto draw took place in Begley’s on Sunday night. There were no jackpot winners. The numbers drawn were 6, 9, 14, 22. The 20 winners were Roisin McGuire Esker, Barry Gilleran Longford, Charlie Canning Killoe, Roisin Lennon Esker and Sean McKenna Knockloughlin. The sellers prize went to Donal McGuire. Next weeks draw takes place in the Oldge Forge and the jackpot will be 7,500. Thank you for your continued support for our lotto.
